Aelira is an accessibility compliance platform. We believe the web should be usable by everyone, and we hold ourselves to the same standards we help universities meet.
We are committed to ensuring that our website and platform are accessible to people with disabilities, including those who use assistive technologies such as screen readers, magnifiers, and alternative input devices.
We target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines are published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and define requirements for making web content more accessible.
While we strive for full conformance, we recognise that some areas may not yet fully meet every criterion. We are actively working to identify and address any gaps.
We are aware of the following areas where accessibility can be improved:
We are actively working to resolve these issues.
We test our website using a combination of:
Most recent result (14 August 2026): 38 of 38 automated accessibility checks passing with zero critical or serious violations, and a Lighthouse accessibility score of 100 across the pages we audit. We publish this result because a conformance target is only meaningful alongside the measurement behind it.
We have not yet commissioned an independent third-party audit. Everything reported above is our own testing, and we would rather say so plainly than imply external validation we do not have. A formal WCAG 2.1 AA conformance assessment and Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) are planned, and both the results and the auditor will be published on this page once that work is complete.
